New European Cultural Heritage Platform starts work with beginning of 2011
Following the ‘Bruges Declaration’ promoted by Flemish Minister for Immovable Heritage, Geert Bourgeois, an international reflection group has proceded with the preparation of a new European cultural heritage platform. Aimed to be fully operational in the course of this year, the platform's primary vision is to ensure greater collaboration between all parties involved in cultural heritage preservation and promotion in Europe.
Museum for Modern Arab Art opens in Doha, Qatar
The pathbreaking inauguration of the first museum in the region completely dedicated to Arab Modern Art has been celebrated by Chief Curator Wassan Al-Khudhairi and team in Doha last week. The new cultural icon of the captial is now open daily 11-18h, Fridays 15-21h and remains closed on Mondays.
