Nominations to the Representative List with Think Heritage!

Nominations to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage should demonstrate how they “will contribute to ensuring visibility and awareness of the significance of the intangible cultural heritage and to encouraging dialogue, thus reflecting cultural diversity worldwide and testifying to human creativity.” (crit. 2)

As in the case of nominations to the Urgent Safeguarding list, the proposal needs to be developed with the widest possible participation of heritage practitioners and guardian communities and requires their informed, explicit and prior consent.

think heritage! provides expertise and strategies for community and practitioner consultation and involvement, for the documentation of the expressions of intangible cultural heritage, for the justification of its contribution to the visibility and awareness of the intangible cultural heritage worldwide, as well as for writing the nomination following the official UNESCO format and terminology.
