think heritage! assists you in discovering the World Heritage potential of your site, monument, city or landscape. In the early stages of consideration for a UNESCO World Heritage nomination, we identify the most relevant international experts to judge the World Heritage potential of your envisaged nomination project. A specific emphasis will be given to the conditions of Outstanding Universal Value (OUV), application of the conditions of integrity and authenticity, which are difficult to generate if not present, and overall management requirements.
Should you have the desire to develop potential World Heritage properties in your state, county, or territory think heritage! can assist you through a World Heritage Screening Survey (WHSS). In the context of this qualitative survey, a team of experts will review the outstanding contributions to human history that have emerged within your state or territory, and identify the spatial expressions that could best represent it on the World Heritage List. A WHSS can take between 6 weeks and 18 months depending on the size and complexity of the territory. The average duration is between 2 and 4 months.
