Action plans are strategic planning tools used for implementing well-coordinated safeguarding plans and policies related to Intangible Cultural Heritage expressions. These are guided by, among others, article 13 of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which suggests a series of safeguarding methods and techniques.
think heritage! assists in facilitating consultations, developing tailored action plans, as well as delivering capacity-building and training programmes. One of the initial stages in the development of successful action plans is preparing facilitated consultations and exchanges which are required in order to arrive at meaningful safeguarding strategies and implementation frameworks. Based on existing action plans and good practice examples, think heritage! develops tailored action plans in co-operation with your local team and the practioner communities and all in a consultative and participatory atmosphere. In addition, we provide training and capacity building support to enable the local community to independently master this task.
